Some people make jokes, music, movies, and cartoon to lighten the seriousness of sexual violence, which have caused the public to create different beliefs about victims. The created beliefs about why women get raped are spread throughout world and influence many people. Those beliefs have developed into misunderstandings on why some men raped some women. An example of this misunderstanding is how some people believe that some women ask to be raped because of how indecent they acted or how inappropriate they dressed, while some others believe women are just making up story to attract attention. Rape culture does not benefit the victims, but it does help attackers. Rapists can use what people believe in the culture to make excuse for their actions, turning their unreasonable actions of violating into an understandable reason. These and many other beliefs from rape culture have created different views about who is the victim and who is the rapist. Rape culture might give reasons to why a woman is not victim of a rape, but those reasons are just misunderstandings. During the late 1600s, people did not know the truth about witches and do not know any of the facts we know today. For that reason, many women were found guilty and killed. Since then, humanity have evolved a lot. Many websites were created to tell the truth about rape culture and the myths in the culture, informing the public what they need to know about sexual violence. However, rape culture is not easy to be dismissed from the current society. Just as pervious mention, victim blaming is form of witch trials. The practice of blaming another person is clue into the history of America. Even so, there are some solutions that can be done to help lessen the possibility of victim being blamed. There are also solutions that can be done to let survivors of sexual violence to know that the violence was not their fault. Like how witch trials ended as time move on in society, victim blaming will decline as time move on
