The Other Pair Essay

In the short film, The Other Pair, the two boys that showed their kindness was very inspiring. In the beginning of this short film, you can see the poor boy trying to fix his old, ripped up sandal. He gets frustrated and sad that he can't fix nor afford a new sandal. Then he notices a boy who seems to be in a better financial condition wearing shiny black shoes, by looking at this boy you can immediately tell that he cares about his shoes very much, and he's proud of them. The poor boy looks in amazement and wonder of the shoes because they are so shiny and clean. I feel sympathetic toward the poor boy because he cannot afford to get such shoes. When the boy leaves to go on the train, his shoe falls off, and he cannot get it because the train starts to move. The poor boy begins to walk toward to the shoe and picks up the shoe. He notices the rich boy then he feels empathy because he knows what it's like to have a bad shoe, so he takes the shoe and runs toward him to attempt to return it. The Other Pair shows that people care about each other and that we are kind. It continues with some people are fortunate, but some aren't, but everyone is still equal. When the poor boy tried to return the shoe, he showed that he is nothing less than the rich boy, he may want the shoe very badly, but he knows that this isn't mine, so I should return it. Sadly when the poor boy cannot reach the rich boy, the rich boy gives an act of true kindness, heart, and much more. He throws the other pair to the poor bo, knowing that he won't get his shoe back. The poor boy then looks at him in amazement, this scene was so emotional. The poor boy got a new and shiny pair of shoes because of the kindness of a boy who was rich but still knew that he was equal to the poor boy. To sum it up, the boys were two very virtuous people that showed that they are very kind and caring
