In the past years many people have undergo so much barriers in their life, whether it’s in the workforce, at home, or in class. Some of these barriers are known as underrepresented in leadership roles, gender bias, and prejudice. Whether it’s a woman or a man they both represent these kinds of barriers. Emmeline Pankhurst stated, “We have to free half of the human race, the women, so that they can help to free the other half.” This quote shows how many women fear to speak up for them self’s in the work forces. It also shows how many women are trapped in that fear and have other women trapped between them. In way that some women work in hard labor jobs but as the job goes alone men make women feel like they don’t belong there. Setting in women’s minds of worlds if they belong there, do these men take them seriously, or if they got their job because of skill not some kind of unspoken gender quota. This worlds set a thought of how men are bias to women. Showing also in a way of color and work skill, how you would have in a room a fully white woman against a lot of black women going for the same job and the manager picks a black woman over a white woman because of their color. There is so many famous people who would agree with this quote “In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders” (Sandberg). This quota is a form of explain that the bias got to stop. Though out the days there has always been women and men leaders in the job field. At the end it does it matter about the gender, color, and the bias it matters that there the leaders and what they are doing for the people in the world. Having the power to lead and showing the world what men or women could do by being leaders.
