It is in the agency 's best interest to have a legal assistant that goes above the call of duty and possesses the talent, legal knowledge, and competencies necessary to not only accomplish the mission but also exceed external customers ' satisfaction. Pursuing my Master 's degree is part of reaching the ultimate goal of management and having a more successful, lucrative career within the Social Security Administration. The autonomy provided includes the freedom to share ideas with management, interact with the public, and to be a part of a team where my opinion matters. "The necessity and value of empowering employees have been implied…that it is impossible for leaders to closely monitor and control the service process. This flexibility motivates employees because it boosts morale and job satisfaction. The office benefits because there is a reduction in absenteeism, tardiness, over-time pay, and an increase in productivity. Second, my office has the option to telework. The requirement at my office is that you must be on board one year, have a satisfactory performance review, and meet the office quotas for case workup. The reasons not to telework given to me have been either the home life is too stressful and he or she would not be productive or they would miss social interactions. Overall, career advancement, independence, and alternative work arrangements motivates employees to strive in increasing the quality and quantity of their work for the
