Summary
The Ontario SPCA and humane society is a great local nonprofit organization near me. Their are many SPCA locations throughout the province and they are one of the largest animal care organizations in the country. What they do is help animals that are not able to help themselves, they give the animals a nice warm place to live hoping that they will eventually find their forever home that can care for them as they need it. In 1955, the Government of Ontario made the act in 1919 go away and replaced it with a new legislation. This gave the officers who deal with the animal cruelty issues many more powers that will allow them to carry out investigations on properties that they think animals are being treated bad and the authority to remove those animals to somewhere safe.
