Summary
The Ontario SPCA and humane society is a great local nonprofit organization near me. Their are many SPCA locations throughout the province and they are one of the largest animal care organizations in the country. What they do is help animals that are not able to help themselves, they give the animals a nice warm place to live hoping that they will eventually find their forever home that can care for them as they need it. Many of the animals that are at the SPCA have faced tough obstacles in their lives from abuse to being put out on to the streets because there owner does not want them as a pet any

In 1955, the Government of Ontario made the act in 1919 go away and replaced it with a new legislation. This gave the officers who deal with the animal cruelty issues many more powers that will allow them to carry out investigations on properties that they think animals are being treated bad and the authority to remove those animals to somewhere safe. In 2008 the first amendment for the Ontario SPCA Act since its inception passed, making them into some of the toughest animal protection laws in the country. The Ontario SPCA is seen as the recognized authority on animal welfare issues and making a measurable difference for animals. The Ontario SPCA is an integral part of each community, promoting mutually beneficial human-animal interactions, and is viewed as a desirable organization for volunteerism and support. The SPCA is a great organization to volunteer at their are many animals that would love to go out for walks, play and just interact with humans. It is a great place to go experience what these people who run this organization go through to try to help out all the animals that they care for, it 's not a easy task to do you don 't really no all the hard work that
