I haven 't always felt this way, but after seeing others not having it as easy as I do, I changed my mind. They opened my eyes to the fact that hard work does come with rewards. It was the fall of 2014, at the age of 15 when I got my first job. I was hired as a sales associate at American Eagle at the Wrentham Outlets. My responsibilities include cashing out customers, helping customers find what they need, and keeping the sore clean. Getting this job left me excited and confident. I finally stepped into the adult world where I would no longer be babied. Overall, I consider getting this job to be a major accomplishment. One that impacted my life in positive ways. I began to care more for myself and really started to understand that life isn’t as easy as it seemed once before. What I mean by this is there are so many more responsibilities I have like the handling of money. The money that I was responsible for was very important and one mess up would get me in trouble, which could lead to me losing my job so it showed me I have to do a good job if I want to keep my job. As I worked more I started to enjoy my job a lot and got consumed in my work. This really built a commitment towards my job and showed me that giving one hundred percent to my job was fun and gave me a good feeling inside when helping others and being relied on. Completing task on time was another big thing because how was I supposed to have others rely on me if I couldn’t even finish tasks in the time given to me. Many times I was given tasks that put me in a pressured position like having to clean a certain part of the store in a timely manner or put away clothes fast enough from the
