The Only Football Team

Decent Essays
People have been playing sports for as long as time tells and they seem to be enjoyed by both genders. With saying that, there are teams for each sport but they seem to have two one-gender teams. I think that girls are just as good as boys and should be given the shot to play with boys. I know that the one-gender teams makes a girl feel unworthy to play with the boys. Also, if girls could play with the boys, I am certain it would give them a boost of confidence. Even more, girls and boys are built almost the completely same.

Since girls are morally not allowed to play on the same sports team as a boy, I think that it makes girls feel that they are unworthy to play with the boys. One reason being that they feel ,as though, a boy is better at this sport because the sport is more focused around the boys team. As an example, football is mainly produced as a boy sport and this may make a girl feel unworthy to even try to play football because it is so focused around boys playing it. Also, most parents would not let their daughter play football, even if it was a passion, because it is supposed to be a boy sport. Like I said, having an only boys football team totally makes a girl feel like she can not play football.

I think that coed sports should be allowed. I think that because some people don’t want to play with their own gender all the time and it can be more challenging. Before puberty, boys and girls who play sports together can learn many things about themselves. As the web site www.youthletic.com said “Signing your child up for coed youth sports can help them build important life skills like confidence and can help dispel harmful gender stereotypes”.…

Co-Ed sports teams consist of athletes of both genders. These types of teams are typically only available for the younger kids, but what if it was an option for the older players too? Having the option to play co-Ed sports could be a massive push in the right direction for both the children involved, and the reputation of the school promoting it. The school would likely be the only one in town offering the student athletes a fun and healthy way to learn to work with others, relieve themselves from stress, and learn to have mutual respect for others no matter your differences. Co-Ed sports teams could be a great way to learn to work with others, help them make friends, and a healthy relief from school stress for everyone.…

I think the teams should be co-ed because then the athletes would get a harder competition specially women as usually men have more muscle then women which shows that men have more chances of winning. This gives women a chance of proving women empowerment. And this would give the audience more entertainment and a better look at which athlete's the best as both gender's are combined in the sports. The co-ed teams would also show us if opposite genders as a pair would work better or not compared to same gender pairs.…

I believe that men and women should not play sports together. Every person has had a time in their life when they had an argument about which gender is better. On a playground in grade school every child has been in an argument saying “boys and girls drool” or vice versa. In this day and age those same kids have grown up and women have gain equal rights with men which they deserve. My answer is a yes. Started in this 21st century, girls gets well-educated same level as boys do, not like back in the years where only boys can go to school and girls stay at home. The sports world also needs to start recognizing the talent women have and not just the appearance of them. In most of the sports women play the uniforms reveal much more skin than in male sports. Women’s talents are often over looked more than their natural talents to play specific sports. Another reason women have a hard time playing male dominated sports is because people feel the women will be a distraction to the men.
