What this quote means is that every man makes mistakes, but it is rare when when a man gets up and fix his mistakes. Or at least tries to fix it. “The only Crime is pride” I think this is the most important part of the quote and the part that stands out the most. What it means is that the only wrong thing you can do is let pride win your thoughts and get in your way to not accept the fact that the man was wrong, but some some men prefer to have pride over them acknowledging their mistakes, and fixing them. Tim Ferriss ones said. This quote connects to the previous quote because the first quote says that everyone makes mistakes but only some fix their mistakes. I feel like Teiresias quote connect to Tim Ferriss quote. I feel like we all sometimes fear to accept the fact that we were wrong and apologize to the person we harmed. I think some people let pride get in their way on purpose so that they can use that as an excuse to not look dumb while they are accepting the fact that they were wrong. Maybe that’s why some people fear what they need to do that most. I know this is true, why? Because I’ve been through it. Is when the government was wrong for putting all Japanese and Japanese-Americans in camps because they thought that they would cause another “Pearl Harbor” that was during World War ll. They didn't have proof that the Japanese were going to do anything against America, but the Supreme Court were accusing the Japanese for being criminals with no wrongdoing. The government was also wrong for mistreating all the Japanese and Japanese American people, because not only were they sending them to internment camps, but they were also destroying documents that protected their rights. The were wrong all the time and they knew they were wrong because they were doing all these things on purpose so they can keep Japanese-American in camps. It took them a long time to recognize that they were doing wrong, even though they knew they were wrong all the time. They knew they were wrong all the time because they honored Fred Korematsu In 1998. He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Bill Clinton. In 2010, the state of California passed the Fred Korematsu Day Bill , making January 30 the first day in the U.S. named after an Asian American. They knew they were going to look bad if they apologize during the time this was happening. So they did everything they had in hand to keep them in camps.
