Technology has made its place in society highly apparent and some pieces of software have even been likened to appendages on our body from how often they are used. Take the smartphone for instance; 90% of 18-29 year olds sleep with their smartphones, and 95% of people use the phone for something just before going to bed. With regards to the other popular screen in the modern home, The Nielsen Company, states that 96.7% of American households now own TV sets. What has technology and modern mechanics done in a more focused setting? This essay will examine the presence that technology in the education system has made. This will be done by speaking in detail about how technology has been integrated into the education system, the positives and negatives of this movement, the impact it has had on the way and how students learn. Through this essay I hope to recognize the evolution and adaptation of the education process by not only pointing to its faults and shortcomings, but by also drawing needed attention to the outstanding things going on within the students ' minds because of these new methods.
