The Olympic games was created originally in ancient Greece hosted in Olympia from 776 BC to 393 AD it took about 1503 years for the Olympics to take place again. The first modern Olympics were held in Athens, Greece, in 1896. The Olympics started as a religious festival for Zeus at Olympia a ritual sanctuary site. All who competed where male and had the same language as well beliefs. Men would come from all over the Greek world from Spain to Turkey all to take place in this festival. The ancient Olympic games where made in the year 776 BC when Koroibos, a cook from a nearby city won

There were 43 events including track and field, gymnastics, swimming, wrestling, cycling, tennis, weightlifting, shooting and fencing. All subsequent Olympiads have been numbered even when no Games take place mostly during world war 1 and world war 2. the Olympics were truly international sporting event in 1924 when VII were help in Paris with 3,000 athletes. This was one of the first with over 100 women competing. Paris had 44 nations competing with the Olympics. The VII Olympics was also the first to have a closing ceremony and added ice skating, ice hockey, bobsledding and biathlon. The 2004 Olympics was returned in Athens for the first time in a century. Because we have two seasons its mostly a two-year gap for each game. We have archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, canoe slalom, cameo sprint, cycling BMX, cycling mountain biking, cycling road, cycling track, diving, equestrian dressage, equestrian eventing, equestrian jumping, fencing, football, golf, gymnastics artistic, gymnastics rhythm, handball, hockey, judo, marathon swimming, modern pentathlon, rowing, rugby, sailing, shooting, swimming, synchronized swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, trampoline, triathlon, volleyball, volleyball, water polo, weightlifting, wrestling freestyle, wrestling Greco-Roman. 42 sports in general for summer people are talking about adding baseball and American football but the factor they are American based sports unless we can find a lot of countries that play baseball or American football. This conversion would be the same for cricket because we don’t play it but people in Asia do. The winter Olympics has 15 events only alpine skating, biathlon, bobsled, cross country skiing, curling, figure skating, freestyle skiing, ice hockey, luge, Nordic combined, short track speed skating, skeleton, ski jumping, snowboarding, and speed
