The novel is narrated in a gritty 19th Century western speech, which although is sharp and distinctive, allows the story to not always be serious yet not always be funny, making the novel entertaining.…

The reaction of her mother is indicative of the fact that this is a concern for their family and their heritage. This shows the overarching issue about the education system not being inclusive of all cultures as they should be in a multicultural country.…

This birthday party has been the most special for me because It is my daughter's 4th birthday and she choose a very hard one: The Powerpuff Girls. I've been a Powerpuff Girls fan since the day they came out, eight months ago my daughter found them on Netflix and it was love at first time, and she decided that it will be her birthday theme. I already have a specific idea for her party, with a bright pink, kiwi green, aqua and different tones of violet color palette, I created this birthday concept. We choose the venue and designed the invitations, and I started with planning and organizing every vendor, printing, crafting and details to the end.…

The article “The Case of Marie and Her Sons” by Daniel Bergner is very relevant to the historical material we are discussing. This is because many of the issues discussed in the article originate from structural problems in America, and the root of the structural problems can be found in America’s history. To begin with, the reason the issues in the article exist is because of this struggle between the powers of the government and the rights of the individual. The fight to define what the welfare state looks like in America has been going on since the Industrial Revolution. Even before that, in Europe, there has historically been this concept of the “noblesse oblige”, which is that the aristocrats in society have an obligation to take care…

When I was young, my sister and I never got along well. Neither of us were afraid to voice our thoughts, but we had opposite personalities, so that was an enormous complication. She would constantly whine whenever I practice the violin or piano that I was too loud and it was drowning out the music she was listening to. In return, I would always retort that her music was too loud and distracting. Well, I never actually called it “her music”: I referred to it as “garbage”.…

We just spent the past five and a half hours crammed in a little 2007 ford focus. I have an extreme headache caused by my little sister from her obnoxiously singing Christmas music the whole way here. I tried to block it out and put my headphone on and take a nap but just as I got comfortable she would kick me or jab her overly large feet into my back. I would complain to my mom but she would just explain that she has the right to nap just as much as I do. We pulled up to the bed and breakfast.…
