Personal Statement: Living At Home

When i am 74 years old i will be a tattooed fun loving grandmother that has lived a fulfilled life. If i am any thing like i am now, i will very social and driven to still live my everyday life in the best quality possible. It seems to be the stereotype that older people are mean or stuck up and just don 't’ like very many people or things. I will defy this stereotype. I will be the old lady that is always on the move and ready to go. I will not be complacent because of my old age. i will remain upbeat and positive and still ready to take on life and live it to the fullest. I never let anything stop my spirt before and neither will be old age. I will be someone that people love to be around because my happiest just radiates off of me. …show more content…
i will still live at home so i can be around them and continue to live and enjoy my everyday routine without having to me moved to a nursing or community living away and up root from my everyday lifestyle. Since i am living at home, it its essential that my surroundings are set up so its is most beneficial to me and so that i can remain safe within my house. i will have my home laid out in away that makes it easy for me to get around. A minimal amount of stairs, wide walkways, well lit, railings in the showers, low cabinets, non slick floors. This will help ensure that i prevent myself from getting injured and it will allow me to remain …show more content…
I definitely think this is true and it stems from being able to accept ones life accomplishments and really enjoy the time that you have left on earth. This is why I 'm going to make the most out of my time when i am in my 70’s. I am really going to appreciate all life has to offer me and do as much as i can to really live at the best quality possible. Overall, when i am in my 70’s i will take the same approach to life as i do right now and take life by the horns. I will not let the negative things that happen with old age deter from my quality of living. I will deal with that hand that i am given and turn seemingly negative things into positives and see to it, that i live the best life as i possibly can. Age is just a number, experiences and how you see life is what matters most in the grand scheme of it
