Cried Wolf. However, one story that is known by many people today is called The Odyssey by
Homer. It teaches the reader about internal conflict and appreciating the things you have. The story begins with Odysseus as he has just won the Trojan War. He was very excited
to return home because he had been away for ten endless years, so he departed from the
goddesses Calypso's island towards home. Unfortunately, on his way back his wife, Penelope

Unfortunately, Odysseus made a horrendous mistake upon returning home. Odysseus was very contemptuous; as a result, he did not think before he said things. He
also had a tendency to be unreasonable. This caused Odysseus to bellow out to the gods saying
he and his men won the war, and not by help from the gods and goddesses. This caused Zeus, the
king of the gods to become aggravated. He sent forth many powerful and murderous creatures to
teach Odysseus a lesson. Unfortunately, because of Odysseus' mistake, he did not reach home
until seven years after the war. He was to prideful to admit his mistake and commanded his
armies to keep moving forward to their destination. All he wanted was to not admit defeat to
Zeus; however, it cost him seven additional years of hardship and work. On the other hand, Odysseus did have a few positive qualities about himself; for example,
he was very audacious. Making sure his armies were protected was one of his priorities. Also,
Odysseus put his men first before himself numerous times; for instance, when he shielded their
ears with wax to protect them from the sounds of the sirens before he protected
