The Odyssey written by Homer in ancient Greece is about a man named Odysseus who tries his hardest to return home. Odysseus is the King of Ithaca who left home to fight in the war against Troy. On the way home he upset Poseidon and was delayed 10 years because of it. While some may argue that the journey changed Odysseus the most I maintain that the goal influenced his character more because, throughout The Odyssey, it is clear thought Odysseus’ actions that family is important to him.
