Numerous experimental studies explained that people with excess weight, compared to normal healthy weight are often characterized as being “not smart”, “lonely”, “no self-control” and “lazy”. All though, these perceptions aren’t often true; they still leave a marked effect. That overweight and obese people should have self-control or should exercise and join a gym. Society places huge weight on individuals to look great, stay thin, and fit into a specific size. This can stigmatize individuals who don 't fit such portrayals. Obesity leads to the feeling of shame, rejection, low-self esteem and depression in obese adults and children. They’re a big percentage of overweight kids, mainly girl diagnosed to be clinically depressed in result to their body image. Loneliness is another psychological obesity effect. Research discovered a person with higher BMI is more likely to struggle with loneliness. The emotional affect of obesity impacts the physical health but also can reduce an individual life span.
