If a person is obese and they aren’t doing any activity, then they really don’t care and they shouldn’t blame anyone but themselves for being obese. Physical activity is very important to the human body. Things become more difficult when you are unfit and obese; everyday activities can become a struggle, including a simple task like walking. People choose whether or not to keep themselves healthy and fit. No one can physically make someone work out, and no one can physically make someone stop working out either. Everything is a choice. According to the New York Times Magazine’s article The Fat Trap, if someone who is obese doesn’t stay strict, and they let themselves cheat, can gain their weight back. Sometimes even if they are eating healthy and staying active, they will still gain their weight back (Parker-Pope). Even though it is difficult to keep the weight off “studies suggest that even a 5 percent weight loss can lower a person’s risk for diabetes, heart disease and other health problems associated with obesity (Parker-Pope)”. But even with working out and keeping fit, it can lower the risk of even worse problems. If an individual chooses to stay unfit and obese it is an issue, but a simple task of working out can change a person’s future. Working out without seeing amazing results can be very discouraging; which can also affect a person mind and become an emotional problem as well.
