O.J. Simpson was arrested for the murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman in 1994. The trial began in 1995 and ended four months later, Simpson was charged as not guilty.

Orenthal James Simpson was one of the most famous running backs in American football history. The majority of Simpson’s career was spent playing for the Buffalo Bills even though he ended his football career with the 49ers in 1979. A while after he retired from football, Simpson spent his time as a sports commentator, acting, and golfing. He regularly played golf at various events and also had a role in two movies. Simpson met Nicole Brown in 1979. Nicole was 18 years old and he was 30 years old. February 2, 1985 they were, what people thought as, happily married but

They suggested Simpson was physically incapable of committing the crime. On July 10, 1995, Simpson’s daughter Arnelle took the stand, being the first defense witness. After Arnelle would be Simpson’s sister and his mother, Eunice Simpson. By the time his mother finished, some jury members were showing more empathy for the Simpson family than for the families of the victims. The most talked about aspect of the defense case concerned Mark Fuhrman, the LAPD officer who found the bloody glove and, as a prosecution witness, denied using “the n word.” Turns out, he lied. Mark used “the n word” many times and it was on tape. Laura Hart McKinny interviewed Mark for a script she was writing. She recorded all of their interviews and not only did he use offensive racial slur but he also disclosed that he sometimes planted evidence to help secure convictions. The defense team wanted McKinny on the stand but the prosecution strenuously objected, saying her testimony was irrelevant. Judge Ito reluctantly allowed the defense evidence, this decision opened the door for the defense to offer its fantastic theory. That being Mark Fuhrman took a glove, put it in Nicole’s blood and took it to Rockingham, where he left it outside of Kaelin’s bedroom to frame Simpson. Mark Fuhrman may not have been the reason Simpson was aquitted. A man named Henry Lee, had solid credentials and provided what seemed to …show more content…
But in 2007, Simpson coordinated a gunpoint assault and robbery of two sports memorabilia that was rightfully his, but the jury thought different. He received a 9 to 33 year sentence for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and kidnapping, but we all know why he should’ve been there to begin with. Prison has not been easy for him, in 2015, he was slammed against a wall by an inmate after he cut in line for medication. Simpson should’ve been put in prison for the murders, he was pleaded not guilty but he knows what he did and so does everyone

The problem lays in the fact that this evidence put Simpson at the scene of the crime, blood evidence from the scene of the crime was recovered at Simpsons’ residence. This was not disputed by the scientific evidence but the Jury chose to believe it was planted by the LAPD in a conspiracy to frame Simpson in a few short hours involving numerous police personnel getting together and coordinating this massive frame up in such a short time period which goes beyond common sense that anyone would do this and for what reason? Which by the way would be absolutely wrong for the Jury to believe this theory to be true without sufficient evidence based on Clifford's…

The third piece of evidence was recent cuts on Simpson’s hand from an unknown object, and the fourth was blood in Simpson’s Bronco. The fifth sample was blood in Simpsons foyer and bedroom and finally Nicole Brown’s blood on a pair of socks in Simpson’s home. The piece of evidence that decided the fate of Orenthal James Simpson was the gloves found at the crime scene. The left-hand glove was found at Bundy, and the right-hand glove was found at Rockingham, both containing blood on the surface. As Americans we are bold, brave and unwilling to be pushed around. Our nation is a symbol of our story and how our determination made us the greatest country on the face of the earth. We are a family and just like every family we have our ups and downs and many times are separated by family disputes. Time after time just as soon as our nation begins to recover as a whole from one dramatic event, we open ourselves to be consumed by sectionalism and riots over events like the Fruitvale station shooting, the crisis in Ferguson and one of the most popular and still most debated events to this day the Trayvon Martin shooting.” Trayvon Martin a Seventeen year old boy was gunned down on the night of February 26, 2012 in Sanford Florida while walking…

“Jackson wanted to contact an attorney but was dissuaded from doing so by Austrian, who promised Jackson that he would not be punished if he confessed. Shortly afterward, Jackson telephoned Judge McDonald and asked for the same consideration afforded Cicotte (a White Sox pitcher who was also a suspect). But when Jackson later spoke to McDonald personally in chambers, the judge did not like Jackson’s story (confession) and told him to expect no sympathy from the court” (Lamb 120). The case at this point seemed a little unfair in Jackson’s point of view, because there was no communication as to what the right thing for him to do was, he was told to give his story to reduce the penalty and was told that there will be no sympathy for himself. Judge Kenesaw Landis was a Chicago federal judge who was appointed to take control of the case and would later be the Major League Baseball commissioner.…

The trial began on Tuesday, January 24, 1995. With such a strong case against Simpson, the prosecution made mistakes which the defense pounced on. The prosecution claimed Simpson committed the murders due to the fact that if he couldn’t have Nicole, then no one could. The prosecution brought forward a total of 72 witnesses; all of them stated that Simpson had the motive and opportunity to kill. In addition they introduced the substantial amount of evidence that linked Simpson to the crime, as seen in the evidence section in this paper.…
