The nursing paradigm “person” includes myself, my family, and my patients. It is vital to respect, uplift, and encourage others. As a nurse it is important that I set the tone and not allow negative attitudes, stress, or unnecessary burdens to determine my day or the care my patients receive. Environment includes places, things, and thoughts. Where I live, work, go to church, and spend time are all part of my environment. The people I chose to be around, the people I allow to influence me, and the people that I respect and admire are all part of my environment.
