When dealing with the nude ideas of pornography are always involved, Nead (1992) talks about the balance between art and pornography. A relationship that is unavoidable with the sexuality surrounding the nude and leading directly to the idea of sex and perversion. Avoided concepts in society. Because of this delicate line, it is said that sexual impulses can not be avoid when criticising nude art (Nead, 1992). Sexuality, ones capacity for sexual feelings, in art is considered highly controversial. Society has a problems with displays of nudity. There is a taboo or sacred bubble around nudity and the social ideas on sexual activity and therefore when depicted in art is confronting (Foster, 1985). When privates are on display people consider it to be personal and a generally hidden part of a person. Figure 1 shows the figure modestly covering herself, this aspect makes the viewer feel safer to look at the exposed lady. The image is still confronting with the privates being the center of attention, a bite at New Zealands controversial thoughts on the subject of erotica and sexuality in art (Watts, 2008).

In society nakedness is increasingly becoming more accepted with nudists and especially in art where artists are working without restraints, reacting to modern sex culture (Nead, 1992).
