The not-for-profit hospital receives most of its money from donations and takes the money from the income and invests it back into the hospital. This type of hospital in many cases can be exempt for paying government taxes, thus saving the hospital money. This type of hospital is also a good option to for people who don’t have as much money and not-for-profit hospitals are more accepting to Medicare and Medicaid
