My essay is about the advantages and disadvantages of the North and South and what leverage they had to help them win the war. The North had better leadership in the war Abraham Lincoln was there superior leader during the time of the civil war the leadership. He was the president during the civil war and had more authority and power controlling his arm then the south did. The North had a greater population of 22 million people. The north population almost tripled the south population in which when the call for my soldiers came out into the public the north had a advategy to gain more troops to be able to fight in the war which gave them a higher chance in over come the compelling force which would be the south. The north also had a advantage by having a higher military power then the south had. …show more content…
The south had a small military force in which the north was able to overcome the force. The north had a bigger advantage is that the north had more industrial power in which they could produce more products to the military. Which was able to get ammo and their ammunition to the troops while they are fighting in the civil war. The north had more money as well which they were able to buy more supplies from their supplies and ship them to them to the troops. The north had also had more railroads which allowed them to be able to transport more troops, food, water, and supplies so they can keep the war in their favor. With the railroad advantages the north was able to transport their supplies all over the nation. The south had little railroads so they couldn't ship things out everywhere and the north kept damaging the south's railroads so they couldn't keep shipping their supplies of food and water. They also had more farm land being able to keep their troops to be able keep their troops alive. The troops need all the food they can get to be able to keep
