Event planning is the psychological organization of ideas or activities to achieve a desired goal. It involves creativity, talent and skill using forecasted scenarios that develop a clear perspective of how one should predict what the future will look like; and has been one of the most emerging industries of the 21st Century. In this annotated bibliography, I will present six resources that support the three top trends in the area of event planning. The prerequisite for researching and ultimately determining factors of creativity and human development, event-driven marketing strategies, and innovation are what’s trending in event planning today. Identifying three top trends and how they impact other emerging trends was relative to my new business venture and as I learn more about these trends this will give me the opportunity to re-examine ways to grow my business even further. Everyone involved the event planning industry should know a few basic requirements of becoming an Event Planner and what skills are needed to be able to plan a special event. The responsibilities of an Event Planner are vast and requires expertise in various other sub-specialties, such as, producing and managing contracts, budgets, permits, transportation, lodging, vendors, and even in-depth knowledge of federal, state and local laws wherever events are held. Event Planners serve a vast array of markets in the business, government, social relations, information and analysis fields. This annotated summary will explore case studies, event-driven marketing strategies and tests that involve high levels of creativity and innovation. The following references will provide a comprehensive analysis of various event types around the country. The various insights provided by the following sources can provide a basis for conducting an industry analysis that will shine a favorable light on the event planning industry and at the same time identify various issues and resolutions for improvements in the …show more content…
Staging is a crucial aspect in creating visual attractiveness in event planning. All initial consultations with customers require direct communication of the event planner’s ideas and the transformation of these ideas into activities to obtain a specific effect/goal(s). The system described in this article explores how event planners, plan, preview and evaluate all aspects of an event by using computer generated techniques to virtually, visually, describe and communicate elements of a scene or performance. This information is relevant because it expedites ways to design and plan scenarios that do not cover pre-production requirements and introduces a prototype which aims to facilitate computer-aided staging. The system allows users to create set ideas, techniques and visual details by virtual reality and technology. Human creativity is certainly at work in this unique application and the impact on event marketing strategies and innovation will make this an indispensable tool in what’s trending in event planning in the 21st
