That’s because the way that language spread around the world, we speak English, not French. Wait, How did English spread across the world? There are two different theories, the Nomadic Warrior and the Sedentary Farmer theory. The sedentary farmer theory is correct because many scientists have proven it to be what happened, people have to die to conquer a land, and people are more likely to accept something through peace rather than force.
Scientists from around the world at exceptional universities agree that the Sedentary farmer hypothesis is correct. Alex Kuzoian says that “In 2012, a team of evolutionary biologists at the University of Auckland led by Dr. Quentin Atkinson released a study that found all modern languages could be traced back to a single root: Anatolian — the language of Anatolia, now modern-day Turkey.” Allow me to explain. The sedentary farmer thesis states that at people made new farming advancements and traded with neighboring villages and grew in population they added new words and spread them, eventually, across the world. As we can clearly see from this evidence, many scientists in the very recent past back up the Sedentary Farmer thesis.
