The Noisy Paint box is a Children's non-fiction literature book by Barb Rosenstock. For being such an outstanding children's book, she was awarded the Caldecott Medal Award in 2015. Barb brings to life a story about a young boy who, with the magic paint box, paints the sounds of the colors coming from inside of it. But, she puts a twist to her story. Vasya is the only one who can feel the sensation and sounds of the music all these colors are making on his canvas because he is the only one who believes that this magical paint box actually helps inspire him to keep painting anything he imagines. He lived the way people expected him to. Growing up I remember doing the same. I felt like I had to make my family proud by being the best student in class and a rolemodel for my siblings. In reality, I wasn't the best student. I struggled in school because it wasn't my strength. My interest was playing sports. That's when I was the happiest, doing what I loved to do. Barb let me connect my personal experiences throughout the story. The message I got out of it was to live by your own dreams and do what you love. At the end of the day, you live your life the way you want to, in your own unique way. Not the way others want you to live
