Although President is known to some as a one of the greatest hero in American politics, for me, I think his Administration saw the need to enhance environmental protection by signing new environmental protection laws. The Nixon Administration was the creator of the environmental Protection Agency. This action is a hallmark for environmental management and protection. The Administration effort to protect the environment and human safety led to the creation of numerous regulatory agencies. “President Richard Nixon then seized the initiative by signing NEPA as his first official act of the 1970 and proclaiming the 1970s as the “environmental decade.” In February 1970, he sent a special message to Congress calling for a new law to control air

    I agree with you that Nixon’s plan was almost derailed several times. Considering the amount of secrecy, along with the all the cast outs, it’s hard to imagine noone putting the effort forward to try and derail his game plan.
