For his next three films, Burton explores the fairytale world. In 2005, he produced and directed, along Mike Johnson, the stop-motion animated film Corpse Bride, with Johnny Depp as the voice of Victor Van Dort and Helena Bonham-Carter as the voice of Emily. The imagery of the film is similar to the imagery we see in The Nightmare Before Christmas, but the nature of Corpse Bride is more adult and dark. The film, which was a huge box office success, tells the story of Victor, who was practicing his wedding vows in the woods when Emily, a murdered young bride, rises from the grave believing he has married her, and takes him to the Land of the Dead with her. In 2007, Burton directed the horror musical film Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet
