Rihana Dash P.7 Mrs.Burnett 19 March 2024 The Night Project My poster represents, in the poem The action in the ghetto of Rohatyn, march 1942 many Jewish families were living in ghettos and how within a span of a day their life’s fully changed. In the poem, the author stated how he never wanted to remember what happened that day because of how gruesome it was. So in my picture, I have shown two images of the ghetto, one of them, including the day before when children are playing, mothers are searching for bread, and more. Once you slide the image it shows that during the attack when everyone was taken, the Nazis burned everything leaving nothing behind. When doing so, they took everyone in the ghetto, leaving not a single life behind. Outside …show more content…
This poem really stood out to me because it gave me a sense of what actually happened and, to an outsider who knew nothing about this topic, it painted a picture that had to be seen by others. Also, the poet talks about the mothers and children and how their lives went completely upside down within a day. Thanks to this poem many people will understand what happened in different ghettos in Germany. And also this gives a more lachrymose feeling to the people. It impacted me in many ways because it just felt so real. When the author is talking about how the children are playing and mothers are looking for bread, the picture shows that the scene felt so alive and joyful. This contradicted the next part of the poem which shows the Nazis attacking, and mothers with pain carved on their faces, when they were searching for their kids in vain. In the poem, the action in the ghetto of Rihana, March 1942, the theme shown is how people should never forget what happened during the holocaust, aunt, what happened during the raid. in my first quote in the book night it is about how in the poem it is when everyone is in the ghetto, how everyone is enjoying their
