The night face up is a story written by Julio Cortazar. The story occurs in both the reality and the mind of the main character. The starts with the protagonist riding a motorcycle. He gets into a motorcycle accident and goes unconscious. He is then taken to the hospital. In the hospital, the protagonist feels uncomfortable due to various factors such as the smell of his treatment. Later on, he suffers from hospital phobia. While he is in the hospital, he goes to sleep and starts to dream. In his dream, is in a different place at a different time, the past.
