As I then felt experienced to being in the wonderful city of New Orleans. On the last day, we decided to get breakfast and walked to bourbon street. We were just looking for some random breakfast spot that looked nice. We then saw a sign that read “Café at the Square”. It was small as they also served breakfast and seemed perfect to our needs. I ordered a full order of biscuits and gravy and coffee which was the most delicious breakfast I have had in some time. As we sat outside on the streets of New Orleans I began to recall and think of my trip specifically the night of having to walk several miles in order to get home. I thought of all the people I met and even if they were mostly inebriated, I was wearing a hot dog suite and nobody thought anything of it. I met and saw people from every end of the spectrum and every single one was doing their own thing. I realized that this trip to New Orleans was one I would never forget as I realized that everyone is different. In a normal society, most of these people would be looked at in such a manner that no one would approach them; although, in the city of New Orleans everyone is different and is whatever they want to be. After learning this, I believe that everyone should live their life in this manner disregarding what the social norm is and being who you want to be.
