The New Era for Stronger Women
G.D Anderson says, “Feminism isn’t about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.” Women alone are strong and don’t need a man’s help to make them become powerful. What is feminist analysis? These words closely examine how male dominance and female powerlessness manifest themselves in specific aspects of society through a text. Feminist literature supports the goals of defending equal economic and social rights for women. Feminism is the advocacy of women’s rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men. Over the years women and young girls have been able to express themselves and have an education. In the Middle East, women and girls do not have the same freedom of expression we do in America. The women’s movement affects everyday life in different ways. According to Donald Hall, not only have feminists spoken up, but men also have written stories that focused on portraying women’s characters. A famous author that was an early feminist was Charles of the feminist theories includes cultural feminism which focuses on the cultural roles and stereotypical characteristics of women. Cultural feminism is shown in the story “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, Which shows women stay at home in their stereotypical roles that are given from men themselves.
