The Negative Effects Of The NASA Space Center On Children

Decent Essays
Even though the NASA Space Center could use a space station on the moon or Mars, the children of the United States need that money. Weather that’s to buy food or water, they are in more crucial need of that money. The billions of dollars used to build this International Space Station, could go to the children of poverty. First and foremost, the NASA Space Center in Houston, Texas, already has Space Stations in space. There is no real reason to spend billions on another one on the moon or Mars. God made the Earth so we could live on it. So why are we trying to find another planet to live on? Man is becoming more ungrateful every year that passes by. In addition, why are we trying to spend a load of money to build a space center on

Therefore, these issues, out of many, are ones that should be considered most relevant. Many people believe that accomplishments are not reached in space, so why should the government waste money on it? However, I believe there is not enough financial aid given to the space related companies for them to prove themselves, even if they have landed on the moon, six times. In a chart from a 2006 estimate on how each federal dollar is spent, space and technology is stuck with an "All Others" category with only six pennies out of each federal dollar to work with. These six pennies are also shared with many other items, like general government.…

The amounts of educational content and unique items we’d find in space would be phenomenal. If space exploration and expansion received the same amount of funding such as agencies like the N.I.H., the result wouldn’t be a waste of money, but rather a investment that’ll wield aspiration and an increased motive to explore…

Apollo’s voyage to the moon impacted the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration budget because the trip was so expensive. Scientists talked about their plans to further missions to the moon and eventually Mars. The reason for human exploration of the solar system was because of the Apollo missions. President John F. Kennedy once said, “land a man on the Moon by 1970 and return him safely to Earth”(Mendell, pg 24). Apollo indeed accomplished this goal, because of the desire for human exploration in space.…

Although many people think it would be awesome to build a space station, there are so many homeless people that we could try to feed with that money. Sure it would be awesome to build a space station, but think about all the and homeless kids. First and foremost, why you should not spend your money on space station and on the homeless is that the homeless need the money maybe eat lunch. Your money wouldn’t really even matter to the space station since it would cost about a trillion dollars and all the homeless people want would be to buy lunch. You don’t have to give them one hundred dollars unless you want to.…

America could lose its global power if they don’t get back into space. I know that NASA just shut down manned missions due to budget cuts, and if we don’t go back to space, the U.S. will seem weak. This could cause war, and make more budget issues. However, if they start sending more people to space the U.S. will have more debt, and might be unprepared when a war occurs. The U.S. should go to space because almost all of the countries the U.S. has been competing with have access to space, and therefore the U.S. should too.…

These past few years the US government has drastically lowered the amount of funding NASA receives, hindering what they are able to do. However, recently privately owned companies such as SpaceX and Boeing have begun to design commercial space ships, and have even had major success and break through with those ships. Space is one of the last places, that we’re able to truly explore and find new things that could possibly help us back here on earth. Given this, NASA should receive a higher amount of funding so that it may keep up with the privately owned companies, explore new planets that could be used for colonization, and explore and discover of new and exotic places that we would never think were possible. Many people oppose the position…

The modern times has seen even more NASA budget cuts and a rise in private contractors looking to space. The budget cuts may even be costing the US more than its saving them. A writer from the washington post says “Since the shuttle 's retirement, the United States has been forced to rely on Russia to take its astronauts to the station, an expensive and troubling arrangement that now costs $76 million per seat” (Davenport). There are multiple astronauts on the space station with multiple launches a year, the price of using rockets could severely add up. Most recently in the bid for cheaper space travel are the contracting of private corporations.…
