These drawbacks result from the abuse of technology in the way of communicating. For instance, the abuse of social media is seen through the number of hours a day they are being used by the society. Statistics has shown that an average person spends about two hours daily on social media. This addiction can cause many problems such as being antisocial and just making friends online, reluctant to make friends in real life. It can also lead to eye problems, such as nearsightedness and farsightedness. Furthermore, the number of cyber crimes has also increased due to the advancement of technology. It is a computer related crime that include hacking, copyright infringement, and even child grooming. This will result in a person’s or a nation’s security and financial health being threatened.
