These games are very useless and will not help children in anyway. If children are to play games and spend that much time on them, then it should be learning based like a math game or a trivia game. In the article, Being 13: Perils of Lurking on Social Media, CNN Wire states: “On all social media feeds, young people are highly likely to see pictures of friends gathering without them, or large groups having a great time at parties to which they were not invited.” Students could feel left out if they see a picture, say, of their friends without them, which could make them highly question if they are as cool as someone else or as popular as someone else. This could cause fights and generally create unwanted attention to a person. Often, students spend way too much time “lurking,” or in other words, constantly scrolling through their Social Media…

Even though media “can enhance children 's education, learning opportunities, curiosity, creativity, and communication, it can also teach negative life lessons, consume too much of their time, distract them from exercise, other physical play, and socialization, and sometimes makes it easier for them to put themselves into dangerous situations (Oswalt, A).” Research can prove that cell phones can negatively affect a child’s behavior, if given one at a young enough age. When looking at prenatal and postnatal exposure to cell phone use scientists correlated the exposure with behavioral problems in children up to 7 years old.
