Decent Essays
It happens to be stereotyping that makes some people in this world be judgmental, and it makes them look very ignorant at the same time.. There are many people in this world who stereotype even against their same ethnic groups. Stereotyping makes all of the people that do it look so ridiculous and ignorant when they do it to others. It can happen to anyone, I mean anyone even including myself; they almost always have a negative affect on someone’s life. Stereotyping is the way a person looks at another and makes a judgment against them based off of looks, where they live, and people’s financial status. It’s when an ignorant person looks at someone else and calls them lazy because there over weight, or when they call them poor when they …show more content…
I think that everyone should get treated equal no matter the color of their skin or the country there from. People get all upset that foreign folks from other countries that don’t know how to speak English and still get to live here. People have to stop and think of the big picture like I do. They may have come to America because they have a family and want better for their children. If they come to the United States and get there citizenship they are no different from anyone else in this great country. I like to give everyone a fair chance in this world because really who am I to stereotype anyone. I am just another ordinary person my thought’s don’t even matter to anyone, so why should I even do it. Stereotyping is a big thing in society from clear back to slavery till the current moment. It has to be the most ridiculous and ignorant thing a person can do to another. This doesn’t mean that everyone in this corrupted world does it. There are many people who are victims of this hatred act, but that still give everyone a shoot to prove themselves before they say a word about them. Stereotyping can be done to anyone and it also can be done by

The labels make people feel bad about themselves causing them to feel inferior. When we label people, we give ourselves the excuse to feel superior. For example, we use to believe that people with different skin colors are inferior to people with white skin color. To this day these labels still exist as prejudice within the United States and other places. By discriminating against…

The media portrays social class in unrealistic ways, specifically for the poor class. In media, the poor class is portrayed in negative views and distorts the way in which people perceive people that are poor that live in the real world. The poor class is associated with negative concepts and stereotypes. “For example, episodic framing of some stories may suggest that most of the poor are underserving because they are welfare cheats, drug addicts, or greedy panhandlers” (Kendall, 2005, p.95). The media portrays poor people as cheats and blame them for their own problems.…

Stereotypes and Me Stereotypes can be one of the most negative things in the world. These broad generalizations based on no factual evidence are what tear us apart from other people because of shallow reasons. From racism to homophobia, many evils throughout the world exist solely because of stereotypes. I have had my own unexpected experiences with stereotypes. In my understanding of stereotypes, one thing is always true: if people would take the time to get to know someone on a personal level rather than accepting what society says about them, the world would be a much more accepting place for everyone.…

I myself and the people around me have all been greatly affected by stereotypes. Southern America has come to a point that stereotyping races and groups is common practice. This is something that cannot go on. People are being forced into boxes based on what they are assumed to be, this is creating an absence of individuality and personal freedom and expression in today 's society. Not only are people becoming dehumanized due to stereotypes, but they are also falling victim to self depreciation and a lower self worth due to the fact that everyone around them has told them that since they are of a certain group or race that they must fall into the specifications set upon them by society.…

Stereotypes makes people judge strangers just by their looks I agree for this statement in my opinion because stereotype cause that people judge other just from looking to them and without knowing anything about them or about their life. This all about the stereotype and how does it affect in the relationships and everybody are generalizing and this cause hate between the people. So stereotype is a big obstacle stands in front of the social integration it is hard for the people to get integrated in the society when this is happening and what stereotype cause in relationships this leads also for being integrated is a hard task for the people because relationships is full of hate so how they will get integrated with the society if their relationships with the people is not a good relationship and full of hate. So stereotype is a big obstacle that must be vanished in the society for the people to have better relationships in their…

Many of us think of prejudice as being race or sexual related, but prejudice can be something as simple as being prejudice against a certain clothing stores or a certain color. There are many different stereotypes. Some of which are positive and some that are negative. The term that I can relate to the most is stereotype because people are stereotyped on a daily basis. For example, some people stereotype poor people saying that people are poor because they are lazy.…
