In 1856, in the town of Birmingham, one of the biggest industrial revelations occurred. The first man made plastic had been constructed, and it was presented at the Great international exhibition six years later by none other that the man who made it Alexander Parkes. Soon after more information was collected and it had come to the conclusion that plastics were synthetic organic polymers, and the reaction plastic was formed came to be known as polymerization. The word itself derived from the greek word plastics meaning “to mold”. Too many people the vast production of plastic is unnecessary as in most occasion people shall throw away a plastic bag, a container, or any other product that is used once(“22 Fact About Plastic Pollution (And 10 Things We Can Do About IT) >> EcoWatch.”). The constant waste of plastic causes this man made material to end up in natural places such as forest, creeks, river, and oceans. This creates distress to the planet as plastic is not biodegradable, in fact most plastics never disappear as over time they become “plastic dust” (“Six Reasons Why Plastic Is Bad for the Environment”). The plastics slowly breakdown, they then soak up & release toxins which contaminates soil and water, bringing imbalance to the worlds environment (“Six

The animals who live in the habitats will then ingest plastic pieces. With 46,000 pieces of plastic in every square mile of ocean, millions of sea birds and creatures die (“Six Reasons Why Plastic Is Bad for the Environment”). The affect of plastic creates disorder in our ecosystem that can directly affect ht human race.
