Media and technology are huge part of billions of people’s lives. Through technology, media is the primary tool for information for the majority of the world. This tool is very powerful and complex and people have a range of positive, neutral and negative opinions about it. This essay will discuss the effects of media, first by examining how media presents information to society, secondly the negative effects media and technology has on society and thirdly the way in which we can solve these problems.

If the student is studying religious education then obviously those ideas will be discussed but in science and social sciences there needs to be more freedom of discussion about current events without any personal beliefs in the way. But when you have members of the Texas state Board of Education that don’t believe education should be taught in public schools, it gets dangerous. As Bill Nye says, there is an economic impact, if there are young people raised believing that the world is only 10,000 years old and rejecting scientific discoveries it will suppress
