A. Hook: What are the negative effects of Internet to teenagers?
B. Thesis: Nowadays, Internet become the most important thing in real life of each person because people can use the social network such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube to communicate with each other. But, Internet also contains many negative effects like cyberbullying, virtual world, and dishonesty in school.
II. First of all, cyberbullying is one of the negative effect of Internet.
A. The academic future of students, who being bullying in the Internet, could be affect very badly. They can’t focus in studying and the graduation will be delaying (UCLA Research).

According to The Cold Hard Cyberbullying Facts, “Cyberbullying victims are more likely to have low self-esteem”. The cyberbullying victims will get the serious damage in the emotion and could lead to commit suicide (The Cold Hard Cyberbullying Facts).
III. Second, the negative effect of Internet to teenagers is virtual world.
A. People have no time for family and their friends because they are only focus in their cell phones (Holland Haiis).
B. According to Holland Haiis, “If your teens would prefer gaming indoors, alone, as opposed to going out to the movies, meeting friends for burgers or any of the other ways that teens build camaraderie, you may have a problem” (Holland Haiis). It means that teenagers just only live in the virtual world and ignore the real life.
C. According to Jeanett Mari Gibson, “Today’s children are growing up too fast and are wearing makeup at earlier ages than ever before. Girls as young as six are wearing makeup and the age of consumers of makeup products is getting younger each year. Due to the makeup and type of clothes they wear, children and teenagers look older than they really are” (Jeanett Mari Gibson). Because of social network, teenagers these days focus in cosmetics to have the good looking pictures to post on the Facebook. Finally, dishonesty in school is one of the negative effect of Internet.
A. According to Madeline Jones, “That for papers or online tests, students might use the Web to copy and paste text from other published reports. And for regular in-class exams, she says sneaky students can easily take advantage of the iPhone and its wireless Internet access, as one of her classmates typically did” (Madeline Jones). Students think that copy the answers from Internet is normal because the other students also do that.
B. In The Conservation article, ““If I cheat and don’t get caught, the reward is an ‘A’ in the class, admission to a graduate/professional school of my choice or a great job. If I get caught, it isn’t as bad as what Enron did, so the consequence won’t be so bad.” Because of the punishment is not strong enough, student wouldn’t fear and they still keep cheating at any cost.
