Body dissatisfaction and low self-esteem are common emotions feels by obese children. Many obese kids are made fun of and bullied at school. Now bullying can happen to kids anywhere and anytime through the use of social media, which makes it hard for kids to escape all the name calling and harsh things others say about them. Weak self-esteem can result from being bullied, which can translate into a lack of self-confidence and body shaming themselves. That in return can lead to poor academic performance at school. Many girls are body shamed, so they fear and stay away from wearing tight clothes, bikinis, and leggings. The social stigma attached with being obese is as damaging to a child as the medical conditions that often accompany being overweight. One thing kids do to suppress or soothe negative emotions is emotional eating. With emotional eating, they can forget about stress, anger, fear, boredom, sadness and loneliness for a little while. Some kids coup with emotional eating, while others fall into depression and withdraw into themselves. Obesity affects the sentiments of children in a deleterious way.
Childhood corpulence is deeply embedded in the type of lifestyle the kid lives in, which produces pessimistic effects on children socially, medically, and emotionally. The condition of a child will predominantly be determined on how the kid was raised in association to healthy eating, mindset, and enough physical activities. Childhood obesity is a thriving problem and it must be prevented and cared for. Just because a kid may be obese in their childhood does not mean they will in adulthood hood too. It merely means that extra precautions need to be
