There are both negative and positive effects that come from working out and staying healthy. However, only negative effects come from having the pressure to withhold and obtain a perfect body. Some of these effects include emotional and psychological problems, negative self-image, decreased self-image, decreased self-confidence, depression, social isolation, discrimination, difficulties in interpersonal relationships and eating disorders (Mintem 1). All of these various effects can lead to threatening life conditions. One highly known disorder that comes from this is Anorexia Nervosa. The reasons almost always tie back to the idea of wanting a perfect body or living up to certain standards and expectations. These eating disorders will no longer be an issue because taking the pill will allow women to lose weight and stay fit looking, without having to diet, eat right, or workout. Despite the negative side effects that can come from women working out excessively for the wrong reasons, there are women that come to the gym to get better and stay fit. Their insecurities disappear and they become more confident because of it. This may make them feel better about themselves. Sometimes people need this extra confidence boost in their life. In spite of this, even women that work out for a positive change will no longer need to find time to make it to the gym or join different programs aiding in the process of losing weight. They will simply only have to take a pill. It will make women skinny and fit without actually having to do the exercise. The pill will enable them to stay healthy and fit by only releasing beneficial and needed nutrients into their body. The pill will not only aid them in losing weight and forming a better figure, but will save them an ample amount of time.
