Drunk driving affects so many people not just the person who decided to drink and drive but others like their family, friends the other driver’s family and friends and also whole city. Some tax could get raised if their is enough car crashes that involve alcohol. In the video the young couple were just driving along and then bang, the other lady who went to a couple bars before driving went in the wrong entrance ramp and went head on with the couple. The fact that she went to a couple of bars is astounding to me and just didn't even think about not driving is indefinately dumb. It is sad because those two were supposed to get married then it all just ended in a split second. The other victim in the video had a wife a son and a daughter who all died in a drunk driving accident. …show more content…
While bystanders were getting the kids out the drunk just went home and went to bed like nothing happened. The bystanders were able to get one kid out of the car but the other two literally burned to death. When the grandparents got to the mortuary they had to keep the blanket on Chris. That is so sad to think about, a kid dying from burning to death and the grandparents were not even able to see his face for one last time and say goodbye. That's just wrong for the drunk to just go home and sleep like it didn't happen. The next people who have lost someone are again grandparents, but they were going to be a very happy family befor it all happened. They were all going to a play until the grandpa got a call from his daughter saying that they have been seriously hurt so he went to the hospital were the children were and one of them lost both legs from the accident. The other one was okay but in shock pain and just hurt. The next day the parents came to a decision to pull the life support plug on one of the children and I'm guessing that it was the worst decision of their life

I want to purpose that the consequences for drinking and driving in Ontario be changed. Currently in Ontario any drivers that have a BAC between 0.05 and 0.08 percent will lose their license for 3, 7 or 30 days. Another law in Ontario also states that drivers who are 21 years of age or younger who have any alcohol in their system will have their licence suspended for 24 hours. They can also face a $500 fine. These consequences I feel are somewhat effective for a first time offense but the consequences for a second offense need to be more severe.…
