History teaches how a single event can either hurt or protect the nations of the world. It has given light to what kind of minds run the world, and what power does when possessed by the wrong kinds of people. Through books and research, history is taught so catastrophes can never be repeated as long as everyone heeds to these warnings. For example the Holocaust, most would not want that to happen again; a whole race should not have to suffer at the hands of one ruler. Having hard grueling work with the risk of being shot just for pleasure, and even the medical experiments that would have no boundaries to what could be done.
