Amazing Essays
Every day we go through our day causally not realizing all of the things that we should reflect on and take appreciation of. The Naikan daily reflection allows one to take time out of their day in order to review their day based on three questions that often seem basic, however, if one actually reflects onto the assignment, some will notice the number of things that we under appreciated. One of the questions that a person is to reflect on is what have I received in this day. I do agree that we need to be appreciative of things that we don’t think of on an everyday basis like our phones or our beds and materialistic things such as that however I believe in reality it is unnecessary for us to be appreciative of everything in our life. This also leads me to the second question that I answered as part of the reflection, I do believe that as humans especially Americans we believe that we deserve a lot of the things in this world even though we don't, there are some things in this world that was given to us that we can’t try and give back; I believe that we will always be in debt with somebody or something. To illustrate, our mother gave birth to us and helped us grow and that is simply something that no matter what we do, we can never measure to unless you sacrifice yourself. So overall, we will always either be in debt with someone or someone in debt with you. Although I do believe this, as said before, this exercise does cause me to realize that I need to give back to a lot of the things that have helped me within my life. Despite the fact that we will always
