The NYS PROMISE project is a collaboration between state and local organizations working together to change the outcomes of youth with disabilities and their families living in three regions: New York City, Capital Region (CAP) and Western New York (WNY). The lead organizations on the project are: The Office of Mental Health (OMH) and Cornell University. OMH is responsible for providing NYESS utilization trainings to LEAs, PCs and provider agencies; ongoing monitor and support for NYESS, recruitment and community engagement. Cornell University conducts research, provide technical trainings and ensure the program adheres to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) standards.
