The National Hockey League (NHL) is one of the best Ice Hockey Leagues you will find in the world. It has players from all across the world stretching from Russia to the US. The league also has 30 teams from 2 Countries (24 US & 6 Canada). Hockey started out in Windsor, Nova Scotia around 1800 when the boys of King's College School were playing the Irish field game Hurley on ice ponds and later became know as Ice Hurley as it developed into Ice Hockey. It is known as the National Hockey League. The NHL has two conferences in which teams play in, the Eastern (16 teams) and the Western (14 teams) Conference. Teams are made up of 24 players. 6 players are on the ice at a time (3 forwards, 2 defencemen, and 1 Goalie)This essay will
