“Where there is love there is life” stated Mahatma Gandhi which means without love people will be miserable and life would be miserable without love. In English class we read a chapter from The Road Less Traveled titled “The Myth of Romantic Love” by Dr. Scott Peck. The author stated some very appealing topics about the unrealistic ideas of real love. I believe that love can last a long time, but you need both spouses to function. We all love the stories of the prince and the princess getting married and having a family and living happily ever after. Real love is not when you both like the same song, color, or have the same friends. It’s not that you say you love each other it’s what you do and act day and day out to help each other evolve and to become a better people because of it. Romantic love only lasts a short period of time until you guys get back from your honeymoon so enjoy it while it lasts. Love is a strong term that can be easy to say most of the time, nevertheless it’s even harder to show your love everyday, but those who strive for it show their true love. In conclusion, the truth between the prince and the princess are completely false. Also that everyone has someone out there for them is false because God has a vocation for everyone. Separation is also a great therapy for troubled couples to give each other a sense of space and freedom.
