Argumentative Essay: Is Global Warming Real?

Improved Essays
Global warming has become a controversial issue over the past few years. Many people have different opinion with relating to this topic. Some believe this is real others consider this to be a myth. I believe global warming is real because we have experience changes in the weather. For example, we have seen how there’s more hurricanes, earthquakes, and droughts over the current year than before. The earth has experienced many climates with one part of the world being covered in ice. While the other is just water and green land.
Global warming occurs in its natural form. However, we have attributed to the problem itself. The climate change has occurred due to the pollution we have created. According to The Myth Of The 1970s Global Cooling Scientific Consensus, “emissions of carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels could rapidly reshape earth’s climate” (2). We can elaborate that we have impacted

Greenhouse have many advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is that it can last longer, it helps to keep the planet warmer. The U.S. has been helping to reduce gas emission by cutting off greenhouse emissions and create a more less gas emission. Global changes have been changing and it will continue to change. We can change the world by not pollution the environment with more carbon dioxide. By doing this, it will help to balance the world into its original state. Scientists continue to research and find methods to stop global changes. Global warming is not just affecting us but also all the living creatures. In a recent research Thomas J. Melbourne, Constable A, Wotherspoon, and Raymond B, explain the effects of global warming. “Antarctic marine ecosystems have undergone significant changes as a result of human activities in the past and are noe responding in varied and often complicated ways to climate change impacts”(Testing Paradigms of Ecosystem Change Under climate warming in Antarctica

If the world goes more energy efficient, it could help reduce the changes that come from global warming. Humans activities have produced greenhouse gases both indirectly and directly, this is commonly referred to as carbon footprint. Global warming is very much related to Carbon footprint. Science can provide many solutions to lowering carbon…

Causes and Effects of Global Warming Aside from war, poverty, and crime, one of the major world issues is global warming. Global warming is a phenomenon caused by the hole in the ozone layer. This hole allows ultraviolet, also known as UV, rays to cover the Earth like a blanket since the purpose of the ozone layer is to block these rays. The burning of fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide into the air that wraps the UV rays around the Earth which causes the warming of the Earth. In understanding what global warming is and what causes it, we can better understand how to prevent global warming and preserve our Earth.…

Placing a price or tax on carbon pollution would be a possible and efficient solution to limit and prohibit the emissions (Carbon, 2014). Also, increasing the efficiency of energy use can also play a major role in fighting against global warming. Any individual can participate in increasing energy-efficiency by changing the light blub, use natural lighting during the day, and use public transportation. CONCLUSION The most recent global temperature increase is due to various human-influenced factors. The combustion of fossil fuels is the main contributor to it, alone with deforestation, and modern agriculture.…

They claim scientists use improper statistical methods, short-term temperature trends, or faulty computer models to make analytical projections about the significance of man-made influences to Earth 's climate. Without a doubt, the Earth’s climate is influenced by natural causes, but however I do believe that human activities we partake in, such as deforestation and burning of fossil fuels, have made global warming a growing, concerning…

An effect to global warming is an increase in temperature. Because of an increase in temperature, the Earth has a higher sea level since ice and the polar ice caps are now melting. The amount of snow in the United States since the 1970 has decreased and the normal permafrost temperature has increased (Bradford). Not only do we experience an increase in temperature, we also experience extreme weather events. If global warming does continue on for the next years, hurricanes will be different.…

How much more evidence do skeptical people need, to believe that global warming is a real problem and needs to be solved immediately? Global warming is one the serious issues confronting humans right now. Global warming has occurred due to carbon dioxide and other gases getting stuck near the earth’s atmosphere, creating a thick blanket trapping greenhouse gases and the sun’s heat, thus making the planet warmer. It is changing our economy, health and the way we live in different ways. Many scientists are predicting that if we do not find a solution immediately to solve global warming, the future of the earth’s climate will be devastating.…

However, scientists have found a number of solutions which when combined can help minimize the amounts of greenhouse gases emitted and thereby reducing global warming. Energy used to heat, to cool or as power in homes and industries greatly contributes to global warming. If applied, energy efficiency technologies let people use much less energy which results to the same or better level of service or product. This therefore helps in reducing global warming. Transport is another great contributor of global warming.…

Majority of scientists agree that the current global warming is due to human expansion of the “greenhouse gas effect”, that is, when the greenhouse gases absorb IR radiation and prevent it from radiating toward outer space which results in gradual heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and surface. Greenhouse gases that contribute to the global warming include water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and chlorofluorocarbons. Human activities are changing…
