Males are interesting objects. They have to keep their chest high and stand their ground. Cowboys are supposed to have a beer belly, mustache, long comeback boots, and the upper lip mug on their face. Which is how a man’s mentality should always be. My grandma had 5 kids, four females and one male. My grandma has about 14 grandchildren and our of those 14 grandchildren there are only 4 males. My cousin is only 9 years old and he is the oldest. Growing up around nothing but girls, he sometimes acted in a feminine way. Me being the second oldest grandchild, when he was around as a younger boy, I made sure I didn’t act to “girly” and allow him to think this is the way he should act. For a period of time, he was the only boy with about seven other girls older than him. Even though my aunt and uncle would buy him the boy toy, he would sometimes go and play with the girl toys instead. When my grandma or aunt would get on to him about this, he felt frightened and didn’t know what he was doing wrong. He just wanted to do whatever the rest of us was doing. Sometimes that made me wonder, does he know that he is a male? Will he grow out of this? And even the silly question, will he be gay if he continue in this way? So for a while, he did act kind of “funny” but soon grew out of it. It’s not that he didn’t have a male role model, but being around majority of girls probably confused him. Now he knows what to do and what not to do, but as this portrayed I did notice something else he did. If he saw any of us doing a girly thing, he would make fun of us girls or look at us with
