“An autopsy found a fatal amount of sedatives in her system, and her death was ruled probable suicide”(Marilyn Monroe is found dead). Accidental or purposeful overdose was not out of character for Monroe (Twist 47). Everything Monroe does everyday points to her taking her own life. Marilyn’s behavior is very risky to herself and sometimes even others. The star was on many prescription drugs and seeing a psychiatrist daily. Monroe was often seen drunk, depressed, and disoriented in public on many accounts (Hall 2). Monroe’s affairs with many people had her keeping tons of secrets. In addition lots of those secrets were government related due to her affairs with the Kennedy brothers. The FBI encouraged Monroe to kill herself so that the secrets she knew wouldn’t spread (Harper 3). People believe that the Kennedy’s had her killed to eliminate danger (Death of Marilyn Monroe). The investigations were ongoing with many different opinions. An LAPD officer, Lynn Franklin, suggests someone else administered the fatal overdose (Hall 2). Meanwhile as the authorities began to search they were noticing some unusual things regarding her alleged suicide. There was no glass, no water, and no vomit which are the first signs of death by swallowing barbiturates (Hall 3). In Marilyn’s last days no one knows exactly what she was doing or her exact whereabouts. “Evidence about her last days of life had been tampered with or covered up, a plot to murder Marilyn is not entirely without credibility” (Twist 41).
