I am an extrovert, so to re-energize I need to go out in the world to see faces. By the end of the day on Friday I am texting my friends to see what are plans are. Whether are plans are cooking out, going out to eat or just hanging out, we almost always see each other over the weekend. (Hirsh & Kummerow, 2008.) state that extroverts like participating in a variety of task, may become impatient with long slow jobs. They are interested in in activities involved in you work and in how other people do them. Also, develop ideas by discussing them with others (p.3). At work, I have several things going on at once. I feel like I can get more accomplished like that. At CosmoProf, where I work right now, we sell supplies to stylist and salon owners. I will be placing and filling orders, unloading shipment and stocking it on the shelves all at the same times. (Hirsh & Kummerow, 2008) List the preferred methods of communicating for extroverts as communicating with energy and enthusiasm, seek opportunities to communicate with groups, in meetings like talking out loud to build your ideas (p. 4). Also that in school extroverts always had an advantage since the teacher would always count class participation a part of everyone’s grade. They also mention that in the workplace extroverts seemed to dominate in all of the meetings gaining more attention than they often deserve. For the introvert this could be more trouble as they often leave the meeting wondering why they forgot to mention things and or why they didn’t think of certain things to say during the very important meeting. I also found that as an extrovert I may sometimes invade the time and space of introverts that need the downtime to relax from the stress of being around others. I didn’t realize before reading this book that I would be taking away time from them to be able to mentally and emotionally rebuild themselves per se.…
