The Myers-Briggs type indicator explains an individual’s personality type based on his or her preferences. By understanding each type preference, a person can choose what fits him or her the most. In my case, through comprehension of the 8 different characteristic I was able to choose what I believed suits me best. I have chosen the INFP preference type for myself, which stands for Introversion, Intuition, Feeling, Perceiving. I have always thought of myself as an introvert, I have never been a “party person,” I enjoy spending time alone or with a small group of friends. I often “go with my gut” when I am conflicted, and I try to focus on the big picture rather than specific small detail; therefore, I believe to have the intuitive preference.
